Terms of service

The agreement between you and White Rabbit for using HopBack. Short where it can be, specific where it has to be. Last updated 1 October 2026.

Who is agreeing to what

HopBack is provided by White Rabbit Graphic Design Limited, a company incorporated in New Zealand ("White Rabbit"), with studios at 292 Broadway, Newmarket, Auckland 1023, New Zealand and 1901 Avenue of the Stars, Los Angeles, CA 90067, USA. By creating an account, starting a trial, or using a HopBack review link, you agree to these terms. If you are signing up on behalf of an agency or company, you confirm you are allowed to bind it, and "you" means that organization.

Reviewers who open a link and comment agree to the short set of terms in the "Reviewers" section below, and nothing else here applies to them.

Accounts and teams

  • You must be 16 or older and give accurate account details.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account, including what your team members do. Keep your password to yourself and tell us at support@hopback.io if you think it has been compromised.
  • A workspace belongs to the account that created it. The owner can add and remove team members and decides who is an admin.

Plans, the free trial and payment

  • Every new account starts with a 14-day trial of the Studio plan. No card is needed. At the end of the trial you choose a plan; until you do, the workspace stays readable and nothing is deleted, but new reviews cannot be created.
  • Plans are Starter, Studio and Agency, billed monthly or annually in US dollars, excluding applicable taxes. Current prices, seat counts, active review limits and storage are on the pricing page and in the app at the time you subscribe. Extra seats and extra review packs are billed as shown there.
  • Payment is by card through Stripe. By subscribing you authorize us to charge the card on file at the start of each billing period. Invoices are emailed.
  • If a payment fails, we will retry and email you. If it still fails after 14 days, the workspace becomes read-only until it is settled.
  • Prices can change. We will email you at least 30 days before a change takes effect, and it applies from your next billing period.
  • Refunds: except where the law requires otherwise, payments are not refundable and part-used billing periods are not credited. If we materially reduce what HopBack does and you cancel because of it, we refund the unused part of any annual fee.
  • Cancelling: you can cancel any time in Settings. You keep access until the end of the paid period.

Your content

  • You own what you upload and the URLs you review. We claim no rights in it beyond what we need to show it to you and your reviewers and to run the service.
  • You must have the right to upload it and to share it with the people you invite. That includes client sites, staging sites and any credentials you store for them.
  • Files can be PNG, JPG, GIF, SVG, WebP, PDF, MP4, MOV or WebM up to 8 GB each, within your plan's storage.
  • Do not use HopBack to store or share anything illegal, infringing, malicious, or that you would not want on a shared server. We can remove content or suspend an account that does, and we will tell you when we do unless the law says we cannot.
  • We back up the database, but you should keep your own copies of anything important. HopBack is a review tool, not an archive.

For people sent a review link

If someone sends you a HopBack link, you can view the work, leave comments, attach references and approve or send feedback. In doing so you agree that:

  • The comments you leave belong to the workspace that sent the link, and its owner can read, reply to, resolve or delete them;
  • You will not upload anything illegal or that you do not have the right to share;
  • The review is confidential to the people it was shared with, unless the agency says otherwise.

You do not need an account, we do not charge you, and our privacy policy explains what we keep about you.

Connected tools

Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google and Microsoft sign-in, and MCP access are optional. When you connect one, that provider's own terms apply to what happens on their side. MCP keys are read-only and scoped to one workspace; you are responsible for the tools you connect with them and for revoking keys you no longer use.

Limitation of liability

We aim to keep HopBack available around the clock and to fix problems quickly. We do not promise a specific uptime on the Starter or Studio plans. We will email account holders about planned maintenance that affects them.

Support is by email at support@hopback.io, with replies within three business days. Agency plans get priority.

HopBack is provided as is. We do not promise it will be error-free or fit for a particular purpose, and we are not responsible for the content of sites and files you review, for decisions made on the strength of a client's approval, or for the actions of connected third-party services.

To the extent the law allows, White Rabbit's total liability to you for anything arising from HopBack is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits or lost data. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act where it applies. [counsel to review this clause]

Closing your account, and suspension

  • You can delete a workspace or close your account from Settings at any time. Content is removed after a 14-day grace period, as described in the privacy policy.
  • We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, does not pay, or puts other users or the service at risk. Where it is reasonable to do so we will warn you first and give you 14 days to put it right or to retrieve your content.
  • If we ever shut HopBack down, we will give at least 60 days' notice, a way to retrieve your content, and a refund of any fees paid for the period after the service ends.

Changes, law and contact

  • We can update these terms. Material changes are emailed to account holders 30 days ahead; continuing to use HopBack after that is acceptance.
  • These terms are governed by the law of New Zealand, and disputes go to the New Zealand courts.
  • If one part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still stands.
  • Contact: support@hopback.io, or White Rabbit at 292 Broadway, Newmarket, Auckland 1023, New Zealand, or 1901 Avenue of the Stars, Los Angeles, CA 90067.
