Design and PDF feedback

The design feedback tool for everything that is not a website

Logos, brochures, packaging flats, social tiles, presentation decks. Upload an image or a PDF, share the link, and your client pins their comments straight on the artwork. Same carrot pins, same rounds, same sign-off.

14 days of Studio. No card needed.

Marked-up PDFs, and the phone call that follows them

Design feedback usually arrives as a PDF covered in Acrobat sticky notes, or a photo of a printout with pen on it, or a list in an email that starts "on the second page, the blue bit". Then a call to work out which blue bit.

HopBack puts the comment on the pixel. Kerning on the wordmark, the bleed on the spine, the barcode sitting on the seam. Your client points, types, done. And when "a warmer green" needs a picture, they attach the reference to the comment itself.

What you can review

Logos and brand boards

Pin the reversed mark, the app icon, the letter-spacing.

Print and layout

Brochures, menus, posters, reports. Multi-page PDFs keep their page numbers, and pins sit on the page they were placed on.

Packaging

Flats and dielines. Bleed, Pantone references, the barcode, the panel that folds behind.

Website concepts

Present the first round of a website as a flat PNG or PDF, then add the staging link in round two. Both rounds live under the same HopBack link.

Social and digital

Tiles, banners, email designs, anything that is an image.

Formats

PNG, JPG, GIF, SVG and WebP images, PDF, and MP4, MOV and WebM video. Files up to 8 GB each.

Built for design rounds

Rounds

Round 1 of 3, on the file. Upload the revised artwork as round two; unresolved comments carry forward and Compare shows both versions side by side.

Approval on the artwork

The client approves the exact file, with their name and the time recorded. That is your proof before it goes to print.

FAQ

Questions

Does my client need Acrobat or any software?

No. They open the link in a browser and comment. Nothing to install, nothing to sign up for.

Can I review a multi-page PDF?

Yes. Pages are navigated inside the review, and each pin records the page it belongs to.

Can I review a video the same way?

Yes. Video comments sit on a frame at a timestamp.

Can round one be a PDF and round two a website?

Yes. Rounds can be different formats under the same link. It suits the concept-then-build way most websites are presented.

Is there a file size limit?

Files can be up to 8 GB each. Each plan includes storage for everything you upload; see pricing for the allowance per plan.

Upload the artwork. Share the link. Get it approved.
